Ever since I started making money online, I have yearned to develop
some simple system that I could teach people that ANYONE could
use to start earning some extra cash. Finding such a method has
been a struggle to say the least.
Anyhow...
I'm going to start today by talking about a huge mistake I think
people make when trying to make money online.
It's to do with a thing called competition.
In case you haven't noticed it, the internet marketing game is
EXTREMELY competitive, in many ways.
Even when we chose to try and make money in niche markets, we
often fail because with so many new internet marketers entering
every day, even niche markets are losing their NICHEYness...
I always thought, if there was a way to find markets that were
profitable as well as EXTREMELY uncompetitive and easy to
dominate, then anyone could enter them and make money using
simple strategies.
The trouble was that such niche markets were difficult to
find. There was competition for everything! Not just in the
natural search results but in PPC too. "How the heck can I
just get some traffic?!" I thought.
This lead me on an important search. I'd done most of it all
before, PPC, Adsense, bum marketing, blogging, affiliate
marketing... I hadn't found anything that really clicked for me.
Fortunately I had a breakthrough. I'll be telling you all
about the things I discovered in depth in my coming emails
but I thought today I'd give you a simple tip, two in fact.
These are two things that if you understand them, can change
not only your online business but your life...
One of the keys to the beginning of my success online was
when I learned to..
1. Find what everyone else is doing... and do the OPPOSITE!
2. Question the things you "know" to be true...
Why are these things important?
Number 1. Most people trying to make money online are Lemmings.
You know Lemmings right? Their the creatures that follow each
other mindlessly and eventually jump off a cliff to their
death all without really knowing why.
Most of us online chase the hottest fad, the newest method
of making money. The thing is that a lot of these methods do
WORK! It's just that they lose their effectiveness after
EVERYONE starts doing them because things get so COMPETITIVE.
I decided I had to find something that wasn't like that.
And secondly you have to question what you "know" to be true.
I see so many people forgoing certain techniques or methods
because they "know" (usually more like they have been TOLD)
don't work. Trouble is their WRONG. They just never realize
they're wrong because they always think they're RIGHT!
That's probably enough reading for today. If you can apply
those two pieces of information you will be immediately
more successful online.
