The Wall Street Journal (subscription required) (10/31) AT&T to sell wireless assets for Dobson acquisition approval In a move intended to smooth approval of its acquisition of Dobson Communications, AT&T has agreed to sell off rural wireless assets in Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas. The sale would satisfy the U.S. Justice Department, which said that a merger where both companies already operated could hinder competition. The FCC must still approve the merger.
