Multichannel News (10/3) O2 launches residential broadband O2, Britain's largest mobile-phone company, will launch its residential broadband program later this month. The Guardian (London) (10/4) BT Group invests in FON BT Group announced today that it would take a financial stake in FON, the Spanish wireless Internet startup. As a result, BT will be able to bring free Wi-Fi access to its existing U.K. broadband customers. Once the deal is complete, BT's 3 million broadband customers will get access to any of FON's 190,000 worldwide Wi-Fi hot spots.
