BTRC Fined AKATEL over Unlawful Service

In a recent action to ensure that the illegal activities in the VoIP industries is reduced to an acceptable standard, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has imposed a fine on AKATEL, a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia . The fine is a sum of USD21.5million (about BDT 1.45billion in the local currency) and AKATEL is to pay a substantial amount if it wants to
