Motorola, Samsung, HTC and LG Electronics will market phones that run the Google operating system, while carriers T-Mobile and Sprint Nextel are among those that have signed on thus far to allow Google-based phones to operate over their wireless networks in the U.S. The Washington Post/Associated Press (11/5) Analysis: Will Google alter the wireless landscape?: While analysts do not expect Google to enter into any exclusive relationships like Apple did with AT&T for the iPhone, one analyst says "the Google phone is a game changer." Broadcasting & Cable (11/5) AT&T launches Data Global Plan for iPhone AT&T has announced a two-tier international data plan for its iPhone subscribers. The Data Global Plan offers 20MB or 50MB of data per month and works in 29 countries. Subscribers must first have a domestic calling and data plan before they can add the global plan. (11/2) Report: Time Warner could pass baton to Bewkes this week Media giant Time Warner may announce as early as this week that former HBO executive Jeff Bewkes will succeed Richard Parsons as CEO, according to this story. Parsons' contract expires in May, and Time Warner watchers say Bewkes will take over at the beginning of 2008 and begin to consider whether to shed some of the company's major assets.
