Motorola CEO Greg Brown, who has recently expressed support for the company's embattled handset division, said he was keeping a close eye on whether the flagging economy would put a chill on demand for mobile phones. The company has said it is evaluating its options for the handset division, and Brown said at a Morgan Stanley-sponsored analyst conference Monday that so far Motorola's problems were more specific to the company rather than related to any economic slowdown.
