    The executive overseeing Sprint Nextel's foray into offering WiMAX services said the technology could one day "unleash literally hundreds of new devices." Barry J.     Having surpassed Wall Street's estimates for its first-quarter results, Yahoo! is open to "any and all" offers, including a higher bid from Microsoft, according to chief executive Jerry Yang. However, Yahoo!'s better-than-expected performance probably won't impact the "dynamics" of the talks with Microsoft, one analyst said. Microsoft chief executive Steven A.     Britain's ITV said it would offer classic shows in its library through iTunes in the broadcaster's first foray into selling TV programs online through a third-party outfit. ITV, whose library includes such U.K. classics as "Brideshead Revisited" and "Inspector Morse," will make available more than 260 hours of programming on Apple's iTunes U.K. store at prices starting from the equivalent of about $3.75 an episode.     More U.K. businesses may soon offer Wi-Fi services to customers under a new BT service that lets subscribers to its commercial Total Broadband plan provide or sell to customers access to their Wi-Fi network.   • Market for IP/networked spy gear grew nearly 50%
    Sales of IP and networked surveillance equipment rose almost 50% in 2007, according to MultiMedia Intelligence, which said the market was approaching $500 million, still a small fraction of the overall video-surveillance pie.
