    Despite taking different paths to deliver video to homes, AT&T and Verizon Communications both said this week that they were well-positioned to meet their future needs. AT&T touted its IPTV U-verse service as having vast channel capacity -- which it will use to deliver scores of HD channels -- while Verizon said its more traditional fiber-based network had more than enough capacity to suit its needs.   • BT Vision subs must pony up for BBC on-demand
    Customers of BT Vision will have to pay about $6 a month for a service that includes on-demand content from the BBC, the BBC reported. The BBC provides the same content for free online with its iPlayer service, but at a lesser quality. BBC (6/6)
