In a letter to the FCC, Verizon Wireless, which said it expected to close the deal by year-end, said those markets represented areas where the companies had overlapping properties. Published reports say the country's opposition party blocked an earlier legislative attempt to clear the deal. In a suit filed in a New York federal court, the media companies claim they have not licensed Redlasso to stream such content as NBC's "Today" show and Fox's "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren."
