KDDI will own 32% of the joint venture, called Wireless Broadband Planning, while Intel will own 17.7%. Japan has ruled that companies cannot own more than one-third of any bidding ventures. Two licenses are expected to be awarded later this year. The Defense Migration service intercepts malicious IP traffic and redirects it to Verizon's IP-mitigation centers. Telecompaper (The Netherlands) (9/19) SK Telecom halves rates for calls between subscribers Starting in October, customers of SK Telecom will save 50% on their calling rates when they call other SK customers, the carrier announced. The offer is contingent upon customers' selecting a higher monthly billing rate.
