TMC Internet Telephony (9/21) TeliaSonera to create infrastructure company TeliaSonera AB announced today that it would set up a new infrastructure company in the fourth quarter to handle its copper and fiber networks. Sweden's telecom regulator recently proposed a law that would require companies to separate their fixed-line businesses from other operations; TeliaSonera hopes its move makes such a law unnecessary. Partner SK Telecom recently invested an additional $270 million in the mobile virtual network operator, which is expected to lose at least $340 million this year, according to EarthLink. SK and EarthLink are evaluating the terms of the Helio deal.
